    I always do this and actually it doesn't look "funny" at all.  Most of the wealthier people that I know ALWAYS do it and only the 'I want to look wealthy' people lack the confidence to ask for what they actually want.

    I always do this because a) it's eco-friendlier, and b) it's cheaper! why spend over £1 on a glass of water when you can have it for free?

    I do it too. In some bars they're "not allowed" to give away tap water. I just carry my bottle with me at all times and fill it the toilet sink when i need to.

    I have never bought bottled water in any cafe, restaurant or bar, We carry bottles of tap water with us but if we visit Wagamama, they are very happy to give us tap water and we also get free green tea with our meals.
