  • Plastic Bags - no not those

    If we have to cut down on plastic bags for the good of the environment, how come the majority of ladies' handbags are made of plastic? I wandered round the local small town looking for a large handbag to hold all the rubbish I carry. You can go for traditional leather or plastic handbag or outdoor type not often waterproof bags or hessian shopping. Somewhere along the way, these plastic bags have got overlooked or is it me?   • Food Miles

    Would you be prepared to only buy food that is produced within say 20 miles of your address - or if you live within a large city say within 20 miles of the area around the city? Do you think that this would improved carbon emissions? Trouble is that you might not be able to eat another banana. Would you be willing to go down that route?

  • Ethical home cleaning

    I'm on a new journey here looking at ethical cleaning. Being very short of cash I have to be careful with the budget. There are a lot of cheap cleaning products but shampoo seems to be the one that looks as if it is going to cost me a fortune.
