User Research: What do we want to know?
OK, here’s my starter for 10 – you’ve probably got loads of ideas – hopefully (if the tech works) you can post them below and we can all see everybody’s input.
For the allottment:
Who would like to get involved? How much time would they like to put in? What are their contact details? Do they have any useful knowledge and skills – eg, how to grow stuff? Maybe make a note of ethnicity, age, occupation so that we know if we’re hitting our aim for diversity.
For the ‘eating differently’ project
– what people do right now in terms of shopping, cooking and eating
– what they’d like to do in an ideal world
– what stops them doing that
– what makes them do what they do
– if they think of any link between food and climate change – in particular, food miles, organic, and meat and dairy.
– how much they care about climate change – to what extent is it a personal issue and to what extent is it something for World Leaders, and America and China, to tackle while we sit back and wait for them to sort it out?
– more broadly, opions and prejudices they have – eg, veganism is for hippies / weak and skinny people; organic food is grown in muck; wanting kids to eat organic because of worries about chemicals in food, etc.
