Learning about gardening, permaculture and how to successfully run a community garden
Has anyone been to visit a community garden yet? You can probably reduce your workload an awful lot just by making friends with someone who’s done the budgeting and planning already and asking them a few questions.
Look in the documents section of this group- there’s information from a community garden. I suspect that they would hand you a copy of their budget and funding application if you asked nicely.
Growing Communities in Hackney runs volunteering taster sessions on the first sunday and monday of the month. You need to email them beforehand to let them know that you’re going.

The garden in Deptford (map in the documents section of this crowd) is open Saturday and Sunday every weekend and always welcomes new volunteers. You can just rock up and join in.
