DIY Nag # 69: The Charity Shop Nag
secret fashion gems at rock bottom prices

The general idea
You need a new pair of trousers. Go to your nearest charity shop and hunt through the bargains for something unique and recycled instead of opting for the high-street clone look.
Why why why?
Whenever I wanted an outfit for a party or a special occasion, I'd go to the usual high street shops and browse the aisles of colourful dresses and sparkly skirts. But whenever I turned up at said event, all dolled-up and feeling pretty glam, there would inevitably be the exact same dress, donned by someone else, probably looking better on them. And that same dress would probably start coming apart after one wash as I'm not that rich so it's high-street chains for me. Then I discovered the joy of charity shops. I can find unique items that not everyone is wearing, they cost next to nothing, they are often designer and of better quality than high-street sweatshop outfits, and I can wear them feeling glamourous and guilt-free to boot!

What do you want me for?
If you too ditch the sweatshop giants for charity shop gems, then you can give money to a good cause as well as making sure you stand out from the crowd at the next big social event. As well as that, you're buying recycled clothes and if enough people do this nag, then we can send a message that second-hand chic is in and we can support local charities whilst also saving the planet!
